NAAC team visits Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanjadeo University


BHUBANESWAR: National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) team members visited the Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanjadeo University, Baripada on Monday for the assessment of the work of the university mentioned in the self-study report.
They will inspect curricular aspects, teaching, learning and evaluation, research, consultancy and extensions, infrastructure and learning resources, student support and progression, governance, leadership and management along with institutional values and best practices.
The university has already submitted its self-study report (SSR) to NAAC via online. The team visited the institution to corroborate the data submitted by the university in the SSR. The process will continue till March 29.
The team will visit Utkal University next month. They will start their assessment from April 19 and continue till April 21. “They will inspect developmental works, teaching learning methods, computer systems, smart classrooms, e-office, library, CCTV systems and other things in the campus,” said Utkal University registrar Avaya Kumar Nayak.
Nayak said the university is preparing for the NAAC team visit. The campus looks different now due to landscaping and other beautification works, he added.
Sources said the NAAC team may visit Fakir Mohan University Balasore and Sambalpur University after completing the assessment of Utkal University. Except for Berhampur University, most of the state public universities will undergo an assessment by the NAAC team. Berhampur University received B grade after the assessment.
