Far Western University Convocation 2023: Bareilly University vice chancellor felicitated by Nepal PM


BAREILLY: The vice-chancellor of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), Bareilly, Professor KP Singh, was recently invited to attend the third convocation of the Far Western University, Mahendranagar, Nepal, as a key speaker.
During the convocation, Prof Singh was felicitated by Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachand’.
While addressing the event Prof Singh said, “MJPRU and Far Western University, Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur, Nepal have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that sets out the framework for academic and research collaboration between the two institutions. The MoU was signed with the understanding that both institutions have many areas of common interest in Sciences, Arts, Commerce, and Agriculture and that considerable advantage may be gained from their pursuit on a collaborative basis in the fields of academics, education, and research.”
The scope of collaboration on academic and research activities under this MoU includes the deputation of professors, research personnel, and/or students for the purposes of teaching, research, coursework, or programme development. Each exchange activity shall be approved in advance, in writing, by both institutions.
Pro-Chancellor of Far Western University, minister of Education, Science and Technology, Ashok Kumar Rai, vice-chancellor of Far Western University, Prof. Amma Raj Joshi, university registrar, Prof. Yagya Raj Pathak, senators, deans, faculty and staff members were among those present at the event.
