Vellore Institute of Technology has taken a step forward in benefitting Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh after signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard during the Global Investors Summit. It is the first university in the country to receive US’s prestigious Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET), certification whose degree programmes have been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2003 and the same was re-accredited in 2015.”. This turn of event began last year with the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new campus sprawling on a 100 acre land with an investment of Rs.500 crore, performed by the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan at Kothri Kalan on Bhopal-Indore Highway. It is the third campus of VIT out of which the previous two have 991 students from Madhya Pradesh who are already enriching themselves and 15000 more have applied for admission, during the engineering entrance examination.

The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan was briefed by the VIT University Trustee and Vice Chancellor G Vishwanathan, about the recent developments that have taken place, an official of the Public Relation Department said. He said that Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) will begin its academic session from August this year. And as per VIT administration, VIT Bhopal University will cater the growing demand for quality education and support in technological developments in the state.
