New VP Of Sales For Upside Learning
Upside Learning, a leading service provider of end-to-end digital learning solutions for enterprises across the globe, has announced the appointment of John Gravanis as the VP of Sales – Americas. John will be leading sales from the US subsidiary of Upside Learning, strategizing, and planning the overall sales action.
John brings to this position over 25 years of experience in business development, partner and sales enablement in companies like Hewlett Packard Enterprise and AVAYA.
For the last ten years, John has focused on the corporate learning and workforce transformation industries co-founding elearningindustry.com, and before joining Upside Learning, he led InfoproLearning’s Workforce Transformation SaaS go-to-market and business development efforts.
When asked about joining Upside Learning, John expressed his excitement, stating:
Through my work at elearningindustry.com, I have known and worked with Amit and his leadership team since early 2016. And as the saying goes, “Timing is everything.” Seven years later, when Amit decided to expand traction in the US and better serve Upside’s existing US client base, we seized the opportunity to join forces! Very excited to support this great team and be Amit’s and Clark Quinn’s wingman in this expansion.
We can do much more as an industry to serve today’s L&D leaders better. Helping them put the spotlight on their crucial work of up-skilling our workforce and addressing key business initiatives is paramount to my team for the Americas. I look forward to working next to Upside’s innovative and inquisitive team of experts under Amit’s innovative thinking and Clark Quinn’s thought leadership. This will be an exhilarating journey for Upside, our clients, and L&D partners, so stay tuned!
John has studied, lived, and worked in the US, Italy, Greece, and the UK, helping numerous startups take their first steps. He is actively mentoring small business owners and currently holds advisor roles to a few select CEOs seeking to enter the L&D space. Additionally, he volunteers his time to Junior Achievement, educating children on business and entrepreneurship principles, and is currently working on his second book on the topic of K-12 kids’ entrepreneurship.
Upside Learning’s Founder & CEO, Amit Garg, shared his enthusiasm for John’s appointment, stating:
John’s addition to our team is an important step forward. We’re excited to have him on board and look forward to leveraging his experience to strengthen our sales efforts in the US through our new subsidiary. John’s local presence in the US will definitely help us build stronger relationships and deliver even better value to our clients in America.
With John on board, we’re confident that we’ll continue providing our clients with the best possible customer as well as digital learning experience(s). I’m really excited for our journey ahead.
