The results of the UP board’s examinations for intermediate and high school classes were released on Tuesday and two students in Pilibhit secured second and third place in the state respectively. Saurabh Gangwar, a student of Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College at Bisalpur secured second position in the state by achieving 97.20% (486/500) marks in intermediate while Arpit Gangwar of the same school secured third rank with 97.67% (586/600) marks in high school.
Both students have topped their respective examinations in the Bareilly division. Meanwhile, a Bareilly-based student of JSVM Inter College, Kshitij Saxena, obtained a second position on the divisional level and a fifth rank in the state by securing 97.33% marks in high school examinations.
The district inspector of schools (DIOS) at Pilibhit, Girjesh Kumar Chaudhary, said, “As many as 82.85% of the total students of high school who had appeared in examinations achieved success while 75.04% of the intermediate students passed the examination in the district. This is the first time when Pilibhit-based boys have marked such splendid success in UP board examinations.”

, Saurabh said, “I am the only child of my parents Narendra Gangwar and Meena Gangwar. My father is a farmer and my mother is a ‘shiksha mitra’ at a government primary school. My success is an outcome of my parents’ motivation, guidance, and incessant teaching towards my duties for building a career through rigorous studies, determination, and discipline.”
“I passed my intermediate with physics, chemistry, and mathematics, and I dream of becoming an IAS officer in the future. Before that, I want to try my best in the UPSC examination. I also want to crack the entrance examination for IIT. I am happy that I have laid the first milestone on the pathway of my career,” he added.
