UGC Extends Deadline to send Feedback on the Draft Institutional Development Plan

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has extended the deadline for sending feedback on the draft guidelines of the Institutional Development Plan (lDP) of UGC, which includes suggestions on faculty recruitment, promotions of teachers, campus audits, and infrastructure up-gradation to February 21, 2022.

The IDP draft guidelines had been previously issued as part of the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. UGC had also released a notice asking for feedback from the stakeholders. The last date was set as February 11, which has now been extended to February 21 according to a new public notice.

As per the new UGC notice released on February 14, the feedback can be sent by email to idonep2020@qmail.com.

In continuation to the Public Notice dated 28th January 2022, the date for seeking feedback/suggestions from the stakeholders on the draft Guidelines on the Institutional Development Plan (lDP) developed by UGC has been extended up to 2lst February 2022

said the notice from UGC.

According to the draft, the Higher Education Council of India will also include a Higher Education Grants Council, which will fund higher education including the IDPs prepared by the institutions.

UGC also issued another public notice as per which, the deadline for sending feedback on the draft National Higher Educational Qualification Framework (NHEQF) has also been extended to February 21.
