Indore:State Service Examination-2019 additional mains has reported 73% attendance of the aspirants who applied for the examination, showed records from Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC).
The overall attendance at centres in four cities- Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior was 1338 against 1816 aspirants, who applied for it, showed records.
The commission organised additional mains examination for 2721 candidates from April 15 to April 20 at centres in those cities on a direction from MP high court. During form filling for mains examination, only 1816 have applied for the mains examination, showed records.
MPPSC OSD, R Panchbhai told TOI, “There is a 73% attendance in additional mains of SSE-2019 examination held from April 15 till Thursday.”
The MPPSC conducted prelims of examination on January 12, 2020, wherein over three lakh candidates have appeared.
Around 10000 were declared qualified and mains examinations were conducted in March third week in 2021. The result for mains examination was declared in January 2022 wherein 1918 are qualified. The commission was to hold an interview for the examination.
Before it could be held, the direction from the MP high court led to revision of the result. The commission then in January revised the result and decided to hold special mains in April.
The centre-wise bifurcation of candidate’s attendance showed that Indore and Gwalior had highest 76.39% and 76.13% attendance. It was lowest in Jabalpur, where only 64.02% candidates appeared in the examination.
