Special admission drive to fill vacant seats announced by Delhi University.
To fill the vacant seats in the colleges affiliated with the university, A special admission drive has been announced by the Delhi University for the academic year 2018-2019. The university had already closed admissions for the academic year 2018-2019 which was based on 5 cut off lists.
Due to a large number of vacant seats, the admission committee of DU has recommended a special admission drive that can be announced on 16th and 17th July.
The special admission drive will particularly consider the following candidates:
· The candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ward quota/KM/CW/Minority (Sikh) reserved categories or quota, who by chance failed to apply in their respective categories will now be able to apply by requesting for any change in their categories.
· After the correction in their respective categories all such candidates who have now become eligible for admission will also be considered for admission in the Delhi University’s entrance based undergraduate courses in the succeeding admission lists to be announced as per the schedule. No admission will be given to the candidates on the basis of the already announced lists.
· For the NCWEB admissions, NCT Delhi women residents, who failed to apply for NCWEB admissions will now be eligible for admission in NCWEB. Admission to such applicants will be given only if they meet any previous cut-off’s subject to the availability of seats. Also, another chance would be given to the candidates to deposit the fees whose admission were approved but failed to submit the fees on time.
· All the candidates who were eligible for admission but could not seek admission or had cancelled their admission in any college of the university due to any reason till the 4th cut-off, but meet any of the previous cut-offs, will be given a chance under the 6th cut off if seats are available.
