Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a conclave on ‘School Education in 21st Century’ under the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 which is scheduled today at 11 am. The conclave will be held through digital mode.
As a part of ‘Shiksha Parv’, the Ministry of Education has organized a two-day conclave on school education. The conclave started on Thursday. PM Narendra Modi also delivered the inaugural address at the ‘Conclave on Transformational Reforms in Higher Education under NEP-2020’ which was held on August 7 and addressed the inaugural session at the Governors’ conference which was title as “Role of NEP-2020 in Transforming Higher Education”.
PM Narendra Modi at the Governors’ conference said “It is our collective responsibility that the policy is implemented in the letter and spirit. The more teachers, parents, and students are associated with education policy, the more relevant and broad-based it will be”.
Conclave On School Education Part of ‘Shiksha Parv’
The PMO conferred “The ‘Shiksha Parv’ is being celebrated from September 8-25 to felicitate teachers and take the New Education Policy forward. Various webinars, virtual conferences and conclaves on several aspects of the NEP are being organized across the country”.
The government also stated that the National Education Policy is the first education policy of the 21st century. The policy was being released on 29th July 2020. The new education policy came after 34 years of the previous education policy in 1986. The New Education Policy 2020 is aimed at bringing major reforms in school education as well as higher education.
The government stated that “The new NEP aims at making the country an equitable and vibrant knowledge society. It envisions an India-centred education system that will contribute directly to transforming the country into a global superpower”.
