PM Addressed The Governors’ Conference on The Role of NEP-2020

PM Narendra Modi addressed the inaugural session at the Governors’ conference which was title “Role of NEP-2020 in Transforming Higher Education”. He said ‘it is our collective responsibility to implement the policy in letter and spirit’.

On 7th September Governors Conference was held on the role of New Education Policy via video conference. President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the Governors’ Conference. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal also participated in the conference.

The conference was titled “Role of NEP-2020 in Transforming Higher Education”. The conference was being organized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conferred that ‘The New Education Policy focuses on critical thinking and learning in line with students’ interest.’ He also asked the stakeholders to implement the National Education Policy in letter and spirit. It would help them realize the potential and thoroughly understand the actual intent of the policy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi conferred “Our youth will now be able to learn according to their interest. In the NEP, the first since 1986, the pressure on the students to take specific streams has been removed”.

PM Addressed The Inaugural Session At The Governors’ Conference

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the inaugural session at the Governors’ conference which was title “Role of NEP-2020 in Transforming Higher Education”. PM said “It is our collective responsibility that the policy is implemented in the letter and spirit. The more teachers, parents, and students are associated with education policy, the more relevant and broad-based it will be”.

President Ram Nath Kovind addressing the conference urged the Center and states to increase their funding in the areas of research and innovation to empower a large economy like India.

The Governors’ Conference was being attended by the Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal. Also, it was attended by the Education Ministers of all States, MoS (education) Sanjay Dhorte, governors, LGs/administrators of the states, Vice-Chancellors of State Universities, and other senior officials and some CMs also participated in the conference.
