Non-Plan Admission process in Delhi Govt Schools for 2023-24 begins on May 1, check details here

NEW DELHI: The Delhi government has announced that non-plan admissions to government schools will be open from May 1, 2023. This admission process is meant for private school children who wish to take admission in a government school in the 6th or 9th standard.
Parents and guardians can apply online for admission from May 1 to 20, 2023. After submitting the application, schools will be allotted according to the area in the cluster committee before June 8, 2023. After that, parents and guardians will have to wait for the school to contact them between June 8 and June 24, 2023 to complete the admission process.
To apply for admission, parents and guardians will need to provide certain documents, including the child’s birth certificate, school leaving certificate (for 9th class), passport-size photo, residential proof, and caste certificate (if applicable).
It is mandatory to apply online for admission, and parents and guardians who cannot fill out the form themselves can go to the nearest government school for assistance. Help desks will be set up in every government school to guide parents through the process.
Only parents and students residing in Delhi should apply for this admission process. The link for admission will be available on www.edudel.nic.in under the name of “Govt. School Admissions.”
This is a significant opportunity for private school children to experience the benefits of a government school education. With the admission process starting soon, parents and guardians should begin preparing the necessary documents and stay updated with the latest news on the admissions process.
