NIT Raipur welcomes delegates of Nagaland under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme


RAIPUR: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur on Thursday welcomed the delegates of Nagaland heartily in accordance with phase two of Yuva Sangam, the youth exchange programme under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat aims to strengthen people-to-people connections, especially between youth of different states, and introduce to them the culture and values of India.
The idea of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat was conceptualized and structured by Prime Minister Narendra Modi created a cultural connection between the various states of India.
It also aims to expose youth who embody not just immense talent, global knowledge, the spirit of creativity, and innovation but also revisit cultural values that reflect the country’s humane philosophy. This initiative was launched in February this year and the first phase of Yuva Sangam had an overwhelming participation of 1200 youngsters, with the first batch visiting northeast India.
Dr Sanjay Alang, Divisional Commissioner, Raipur was present as the chief guest and international weightlifter Rustam Sarang as special guest.
The delegates from Nagaland will be having plenty of opportunities to explore and learn about the culture of the state with an industrial visit to Bhilai Steel Plant, a trip to Sirpur, and a visit to the Governor’s House scheduled for them. The delegates will also be exploring the city of Raipur and Naya Raipur with numerous recreational activities also scheduled in the upcoming four days.
