HBSE Class 12th Result 2023: Girls outshine boys with 87.11% pass percentage, overall 81.65% pass


NEW DELHI: The Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) has announced the Class 12th result on its official website bseh.org.in. The result was declared in a press conference by the board chairman V P Yadav and secretary Krishan Kumar.
According to the result, the overall pass percentage for Class 12th is 81.65%, a drop of 5.43 points from the previous year. A total of 2,96,329 students appeared for the exam this year, out of which 2,41,905 students have passed. Among the passed students, 1,39,288 are boys and 1,02,617 are girls. The pass percentage for girls is 87.11%, while for boys it is 76.43%.
The Class 12 topper is Nancy, who secured 498 marks out of 500. She hails from Siwani Mandi. Jasmeet Kaur secured the second position with 497 marks, while Kanuj, Mansi Saini, and Priya secured the third position with 496 marks.
The pass percentage of private schools stood at 83.23%, while that of government schools was 80.66%.
Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for re-evaluation or re-checking of answer sheets by paying a fee of Rs. 800. The state government has also announced the provision of a Senior Secondary School within a radius of 5 kms to ensure that children do not have to travel long distances to get education.
However, many students and parents have expressed their frustration as the official website of the board was not working properly, displaying a message of “Connection timed out.” The press conference was also rescheduled by 20 minutes, causing further delay in the announcement of the result.
