DBU introduces DBEST Scholarship Scheme at mega job fair to support meritorious students


CHANDIGARH: Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, in collaboration with the district employment bureau organised a “mega job fair” at Sri Muktsar Sahib.
Satwinder Singh, Tehsildar, Muktsar Sahib was the chief guest and Dr Sandeep Singh, President, Desh Bhagat University and Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice-President, DBU, were special guests at the event.
Dr Sandeep Singh said that the motive of the job fair was to give the passing out students as well as youngsters of the nearby areas a platform to get selected for the best of jobs in their fields.
Dr Harsh Sadawarti, the Vice-President, said that over 900 candidates participated in this job fair, in which 28 companies like Justdail, HDFC, and Ocean Engineering came for recruitment. He said that a package of up to Rs 6 lakh per annum was offered to the deserving candidates.
He said that a special scholarship scheme named DBEST (Desh Bhagat University Entrance Scholarship Test) was being offered by the University for the meritorious and needy students. Under DBEST, up to a cent per cent scholarship is given to the students who clear the entrance test.
