CBSE Board Exam Results 2023: Students from smaller towns top in Prayagraj region


Prayagraj: Continuing with the trend of UP Board results, the result of class 10 and 12 of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) of Prayagraj region also showed how bright students from smaller towns like Azamgrah, Pratapgarh and Varanasi have proved their mettle.
In the top merit holders of class 12 of the Prayagraj region, which caters to 48 districts of the state, Rishabh Raj of Central Hindu Boys School, Varanasi has topped the region with 99% marks. Aditi Mishra, also from Varanasi bagged the second position by scoring 98.8% marks. She is a student of Raj English School, Shivpurava, Varanasi. At third place is Shreya Kasera of GD Global school, Azamgrah who scored 98.6% marks.
The only student from the state capital Ayush Mishra of Eram Public College shared the third position in the topper’s list with 98.6% marks.
While none of the students from Prayagraj feature in the top four position holders in class 12, Varanasi has done exceptionally well with Six students from this holy city are among the merit list of top four merit holders. In fact four students from Varanasi have scored 492 marks and bagged the overall fourth place in the region. Shubham Upadhyay of Mirzapur too is at number four place.
In terms of class 10th result, the board officials have shared the merit list of 20 students who feature in the top five merit holders. Bipasana Bhattacharya of Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT Kanpur topped class 10th exam with 98.8% marks. At the second place is Snigdha Paul of DPS Bithoor, Kanpur who scored 98.6%. The number three position is shared between Shreyansh Giri of PNB public school Pratapgarh and Arjavi Tripathi of DPS Varanasi. Both these students have scored 98.4% marks.
The fourth position is shared between four students with the loan entry from Prayagraj of Shreya Singh of Army Public school old Cantt who scored 98.2% marks. She is also the district topper.
