The Karnataka government has decided to conduct the Karnataka Common Entrance Test KCET 2020 Exams in July. The Karnataka government has decided to conduct the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) in July despite several objections raised by the students against holding of exams in July. The decision of conducting an entrance exam in July is being criticized and will be held on July 30 and 31.

Dr. Ashwathnarayan, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Higher Education conferred “We will go ahead with KCET 2020 exams on the decided dates. There is no plan to change dates as of now”.

While the students are demanding either to postpone or cancel the entrance exam. Considering the hike in COVID-19 cases the students and their parents against this decision. As the health of the students is at stake. The pandemic situation in Karnataka is terrible right now. The state is recording the utmost 3000 COVID-19 cases per day. Thats why the government cancelled the KCET 2020 Exams.

Last week the Karnataka government made an announcement saying it will promote all the 1st and 2nd-year students pursuing under graduation and post-graduation degrees for the academic year 2019-2020 without holding exams due to the prevailing pandemic conditions. It also included engineering and diploma students.

The examinations for the final semester or year students will be conducted by the end of September. It also mentioned that the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) for the year 2020 will be held on the decided dates.

Earlier the Karnataka Common Entrance Test KCET 2020 exams was scheduled to be held from April 22 to 24. Considering the COVID-19 condition it got postponed.

The KCET 2020 exams is being conducted in English or Kannada language to provide admissions in Engineering, Pharmacy, Pharma D, and other courses.
