IIT JAM 2023 scorecard: IIT Guwahati will be releasing the IIT JAM 2023 scorecard today, April 3, 2023, on its official website jam.iitg.ac.in. This scorecard will contain the individual scores of all the candidates who appeared for the Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM) 2023. The examination was conducted on February 12, 2023, as a computer-based test in seven test papers, namely, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, and Physics.
The JAM 2023 scorecard will be used for admissions to over 2300 seats by various Centralized Counselling for M.Sc./M.Sc. (Tech) programmes (CFTIs), including National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune and Bhopal, Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), and Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET).
The admission forms for the JAM 2023 counselling will be available from April 11, 2023. Candidates who have qualified for the examination and meet the eligibility criteria set by the respective participating institutes can apply for admission. The counselling process will be conducted online, and candidates will be required to fill in their choices for the courses and institutes they wish to apply for. The seat allocation will be done based on the merit list prepared using the JAM 2023 scores and the choices filled by the candidates.
The online application for JAM 2023 started on September 7, 2022, and the last date for submission was October 11, 2022. The application process involved registration, filling in personal and academic details, uploading photographs and signature, and payment of the application fee. The application data correction window was open from March 27 to April 03, 2023, and candidates were allowed to make corrections in their application data during this period.
JAM is a national-level entrance examination conducted by IITs for admission to various M.Sc., Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, and other postgraduate programmes at IITs and other participating institutes. The examination is conducted annually, and the scores are valid for one year only. The examination aims to provide a single-window platform for admissions to various postgraduate programmes in science and technology, thereby eliminating the need for candidates to appear for multiple entrance tests.
