HRD Minister Prakash Javedakar, announces JEE(MAIN), NEET will be conducted twice a year.

From 2019 Joint Entrance Examination JEE(MAIN) and the National Eligibility, cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be conducted twice a year.  The candidates who have missed the test or are not satisfied by the score will have the opportunity to give the test again. The Ministry Of HRD also announced that from now onwards, The Central Board of Secondary Examination will not be conducting these tests. NTA- National Testing Agency (NTA) will be responsible for conducting these tests. The University Grants Commission’s National Eligibility Test will be the first test conducted by the NTA in December. All tests have digitally shifted and will be conducted on computers. Prakash Javadekar, HRD minister said that the NAT will also conduct the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) and the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) from 2019 apart from the JEE Main, NEET and the UGC-NET. According to the Prakash Javadekar, there will be no change in the exam syllabus, the exam fees will also remain unchanged. Also, the difficulty level of the test will be the same as before and each day there will be a different question paper. All these tests will be prepared by researchers, experts, test designers, education specialists in a scientific way. To ensure timely delivery and avoiding leakage of tests, highly secured IT software and encryption will be used. The Online submission for UGC-NET application will commence from 1st September 2018 and the exam will be conducted between December 2 to December 16 2018. Registration for JEE(MAIN) will begin from 1st September 2018 till 30th September 2018 for the 2019 January exam. And the results for the same will be announced in the first week of February. NEET online submission for the February 2019 exam will begin from 1st October 2018 and continue till 31st October 2018.
