EOAI was created in 1956 and comprised scientists, researchers, industrialists, merchants, manufacturers, exporters, importers, and farmers in the field of essential oils. With the installation of more than 61 distillation units, the institute endowed Himachal Pradesh to become the number one state in the production of wild marigold essential oil benefiting over 3000 farmer families, said he.
He said that CSIR-IHBT had been entrusted with discovering, innovating, and developing sustainable technologies that benefit society, industry, and the environment, as well as strengthening the bioeconomy.
