Civil Services Exam: UPSC Prelims 2021 Notification To Be Released Soon

February 11, 2021: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released an update regarding the notification of the IAS and IFS Preliminary Examination. The UPSC 2021 notification will be released soon as per the update released by the Commission on 10 February 2021 on the official website, upsc.gov.in.

It is believed that in view of the ongoing hearing of giving one more opportunity to the last chance candidates who were deprived of last year’s examination in the Supreme Court due to Covid-19, UPSC may release the notification after the judgment. The hearing of the case has been completed on 9 February and the judgment has been reserved by the Supreme Court.

The joint notification of Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2021 and Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Exam 2021 was to be issued on 10 February 2021 by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). According to the examination schedule of the year 2021 released by the Commission, the application process was to begin from February 10 with the UPSC Prelims 2021 notification being released on the official website of the Commission, upsc.gov.in.

Interested candidates will be able to apply on the application portal of UPSC, upsconline.nic.in. At the same time, UPSC Prelims 2021 is proposed to be organized on 27 June.

Graduate candidates in any discipline from a recognized university or other higher education institution will be able to apply after the issue of UPSC Prelims 2021 notification. Also, to apply for the exam, the candidates should be between 21 years to 32 years old. The calculation of the age cut-off date is to be announced through UPSC notification 2021.

Eligible candidates for various All India Services are selected through various stages of the Civil Services Examination to be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. The services for which UPSC Civil Services Examination is selected include Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Revenue Service, Indian Postal Service, Indian Postal, and Wire Accounts Service, Indian Railway Traffic Service, Indian Railway Accounts Service, Indian Railway Personnel Service, Indian Civil Accounts Service, Indian Information Service, Indian Trade Service, Indian Defense Accounts Service, Indian Defense Estates Service, Indian Corporate Law Service, Indian Ordnance Factory Service, Armed Forces Headquarters Civil Service and others.
