Bihar: Student appears for English exam but passes in Psychology in BRABU Exams

BRABU

Mohammad Tabrez, from Ram Lakhan Singh Yadav College, Bettiah in West Champaran district, saw that he had passed in psychology, a subject he never opted for, while he had appeared for the English honours exam. The exam was conducted by Bhim Rao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU), Muzaffarpur.

UNIVERSITY NOT SORRY…

When the student approached the examination wing of his own college for correction in the mark sheet, the wing told him that it was the mistake of the university and advised him to seek remedy from the BRABU headquarters at Muzaffarpur, which is 128 km away from the college.

However, the employees of BRABU aren’t ready to commit to their mistake in the error taking place in his mark sheet and claim that Tabrez had filled the examination form in an incorrect manner.

OTHER DISCREPANCIES

1. Ramesh Paswan has been declared failed after he was recorded as absent in a paper of history honours

2. Manoj Srivastava has been given marks in economics as against history, which he had opted for as a subsidiary paper

Scams in the past

–Earlier this year, Priyanka Singh who had appeared for class 10 examinations, conducted by the state-run Bihar State Examination Board (BSEB), was failed in two subjects

–Ganesh Kumar, a father of two children, was initially declared a topper in the class 12 examination conducted by the BSEB this year, but was finally arrested and sent to jail for submitting a fake certificate about his age

–Ruby Rai and three other disgraced toppers of Bihar’s Class 12 exams were arrested after a court in Patna issued an arrest warrant against them. Rai, the humanities topper, did not knew what political science was, which led to unearthing of a large examination racket involving the Bihar School Education Board (BSEB)
