Bengal government has now decided on a format. According to this the government and government-aided colleges have to submit proposal for financial budget grant for purchase of books, furniture, laboratory equipment, computers and its allied items with fittings, electrical items with fittings, and any other miscellaneous necessary items. this will be done for the smooth running of the regular day to day work of the institute.
PRE-REQUISITES FOR THE GRANT
Henceforth to apply for any financial grant, colleges have to submit:
— authentication from principal or teacher-in-charge and a sanction by the governing body and purchase committee.
— utilisation certificate has to be original and in a prescribed format of the last received grant for the same purpose from the state government duly authenticated by the principal or teacher-in-charge.
— lf the grant-in-aid was not received earlier, it must be mentioned in a separate statement
— The college will also submit the claim on the basis of the quotation or tender
— For every proposal of financial assistance, when the specifications and nature of the proposed items are different to each other, a separate quotation or tender will be initiated for the purchase of the each different item, such as — books for library, chemicals and equipment for the laboratory of each type, i.e., for Physics, Chemistry, Geography and any other laboratory based subject
— Tender will be separately for wooden furniture, steel furniture, computer with allied items with fittings, electrical items with fittings, and any other miscellaneous necessary items,– for running the regular day to day work of the college
