Xii: Class Xii Board Exams Begin Today; 37k To Write In Madurai |


MADURAI: A total of 37,457 students in Madurai will be appearing for Class XII board exams which begin across Tamil Nadu on Monday.
According to officials, a total of 18,734 boys and 18,723 girls from 323 higher secondary schools will sit for the exams at 116 centres across Madurai district.
Similarly, a total of 17,056 boys and 18,223 girls from 326 higher secondary schools will take the exam from Tuesday.
Further, a total of 352 students with disabilities will appear for the exams overall and 80 scribes have been appointed. At four exam centres, as many as 1,231 private candidates will take the Class XI and Class XII board exams.
Question papers will be transported to the exam centres on 30 routes with armed security personnel.
A total of 3,400 members of standing squad, monitoring officers, hall supervisors, teachers and headmasters, among others will be deployed for exam duty.
Flying squads led by eight inspecting officers are also to be deployed to monitor the exams.
The Class XI board exams are being held from March 13 to April 3 while Class XII exams are being held from March 14 to April 5.
This is the first time students are writing their board exams for the full syllabus after the pandemic.
