Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has appealed to big business houses to come forward to help in improving the quality of education. he made the statement while addressing the 34th Convocation of Bansathali Vidyapith near Niwai in Tonk district.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SPEECH

— I believe that education is the best way to empower women
— Literacy and education are the foundations for a strong, inclusive, gender-responsive India
— We need women and men with right knowledge, skills and attitudes for inclusive growth
— The task before the nation is to equip two thirds of the population, below 35 years of age, with skills and knowledge to get a big demographic dividend
The vice president called upon the business houses to come forward and help institutions in improving the quality of education.
Naidu presented gold medals to the meritorious students of the university. Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Arun Chaturvedi, and Industry Minister Rajpal Singh Shekhawat were also present in the convocation ceremony.
IN THE PAST…
In the past too the Vice President has asserted that the Centre was committed in expanding the quality education sector in India. Observing that Indians sit in top chairs in various famous organisations across the world he has also said in the past that we cannot sit on the medals achieved and have to strive for higher goals. He has urged the educationists in the past to provide world-class education so that India becomes the most sought after hub of education in the world as well as the local students must be provided the same at best possible minimal price to not feel deprived of the facilities. And for this more and more business houses need to come forward to help….financially as well as for industry training and ideas exchange.
