TSBIE Board Exams 2023: No clarity on digital evaluation of class 10, 12 marksheets

TSBIE Board Exams 2023: No clarity on digital evaluation of class 10, 12 marksheets

HYDERABAD: While Intermediate exams for the 2022-23 academic year have already commenced, there is still no clarity over implementation of digital evaluation for this year. It is learnt that only two companies are in the fray for the bidding process, as against the 10 who had shown interest during the pre-bid call.
As per officials, two companies – Cosyn and Magnetic Infotech – both headquartered in Hyderabad have cleared the technical evaluation and after a meeting with them this week, the financial bids will be called for.
“This is an ongoing process and we can’t confirm at the moment if it will be done this year or not,” said Navin Mittal, commissioner, Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) adding that the process will in no way interfere with the ongoing exams or impact quality of evaluation.
However, it is learnt that it is highly likely that only English answer sheets for first-year inter students may be evaluated through this model – also termed as on-screen evaluation – owing to shortage of time to train evaluators. It also involves setting up servers, computers and scanners in the BIE office that may take time and effort.
