IIT Bombay, IISc Bangalore in Top 10 of QS BRICS University Rankings 2018

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has secured top position in India and moved up to rank 9 in the prestigious Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) University Rankings BRICS.

While IIT Bombay has secured ninth rank, IISc Bangalore was ranked 10th and IIT Delhi 15th. IIT Madras was placed in 18th rank.

The results of BRICS university rankings 2018 were announced on Wednesday, November 22, 2018 by QS, a global higher education analysis. Three IITs (Mumbai, Delhi, Madras) and the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore have made the cut among top 20 varsities in BRICS countries in the latest QS Rankings.

Among the top 10 private universities in the country are BITS Pillani, Thapar University, Symbiosis International University, Manipal University, Amrita University, VIT University, Kalinga University and OP Jindal Global University. Over 300 universities from India, China, Russia, South Africa and Brazil have been observed and graded for the QS ranking, one of the global rankings. India has the second highest representation in the 2017 list after China.
