CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu state board Class XII results will be declared at 9.30am May 8, the Directorate of Government Examinations said on Wednesday.
School education minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi will release the details of Class XII results in Anna Centenary Library.
Students also can know their results on the following websites after entering their roll number and date of birth:
www.tnresults.nic.in www.dge1.tn.nic.in, www.dge2.tn.nic.in, and www.dge.tn.gov.in
The Directorate of Government Examinations will send the exam results to the registered mobile numbers of students directly. They can also know the results in their schools, district central and branch libraries and National Informatics Centres at the district collector offices.
Around eight lakh students appeared for the exams that were held from March 13 to April 3. The evaluation of answer scripts started on April 10 is nearing completion.
Earlier, the exam results were scheduled to be declared on May 5. With teachers expressing apprehensions over declaring the results just two days ahead of NEET scheduled on May 7, the state government decided to defer the declaration of results.
