The new life sciences subject ranking by Times Higher Education Ranking 2018 is led by Harvard University, while unlike medicine ranking released along with it, 11 Indian universities found their place in the top 500. From India, the list has Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay in top 300, while Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and IIT Delhi found their positions in top 400.
IISc Bangalore was the top Indian university when Times Higher Education declared its overall World University Rankings 2018 in September.
The top ten has universities from United States of America and United Kingdom only. UK universities University of Cambridge and University of Oxford were placed in number three and three respectively.
