CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu state board Class XII exam results will be released on May 5 while the Class X results will be released on May 17.
More than eight lakh students will appear for the Class XII exams scheduled to be held from March 13 to April 3. The Class X board exams will be conducted from April 6 to 20. More than 10 lakh students will write the exams at 3,986 centres in the state.
Class XI board exams will be held from March 14 to April 5.
“Class XI exam results will be released on May 19,” school education minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi said after attending the board exams related meeting here in Chennai on Monday.
The Directorate of Government Examinations on Monday held a consultation meeting with chief educational officers and district education officers.
“We have discussed appointing invigilators, keeping the question papers and answer sheets safe and conducting the exams without any issues. We have rescheduled the practical exams to give more time for preparation. The exams will begin on March 1 instead of March 6,” the minister said.
He said the private candidates who did not apply for Classes X, XI, XII board exams would get an opportunity to apply on January 31 and February 1.
