    JEE Main To Be Held Four Times In 2021, Registration Begins

    JEE Main 2021 will be held in four sessions. The Registration for the same begins today, December 15, and the last day to register for JEE main is January 15, 2021. In the next academic year, the JEE Main will be conducted in multiple sessions- February, March, April, and May 2021.


    New Delhi: The Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2021 for admission into engineering courses will be held in four sessions. The applications for JEE Main 2021 will start today and the last date to fill the form is January 15


    In the next academic year, JEE Main will be conducted in multiple sessions – February, March, April, and May. All the candidates willing to register can apply for JEE Main 2021 through the National Testing Agency (NTA) website- jeemain.nta.nic.in.

    The first session of JEE Main 2021 will take place from February 22 to 25, the National Testing Agency says. The exam will be held in 13 languages and the candidates can pick the language of their choice when they apply online. They cannot change it later.

    The JEE (Main) 2021 will be held in February 2021 followed by the next three sessions in March, April, and May 2021. This is being done to ensure that the JEE (Main)2021 does not interfere with the Board examinations, which may be held at different times across the States

    The test will include choice in one section to rationalize the decision of different Boards across the country regarding the reduction of the syllabus

    In the light of rationalization of the syllabus by various Boards, the NTA has decided to provide for choice in the question papers and thus there will be two sections in each paper

    The decision is aimed at giving students multiple opportunities to improve their scores in the examination if they fail to give their best in the first attempt without wasting a whole academic year.

    According to the official notification, in the first attempt, the students will get a first-hand experience of taking an examination and will know their mistakes. which they can improve in the next attempt.

    Additionally, this will reduce the chances of dropping a year and droppers would not have to waste a full year. “If anyone missed the examination due to reasons beyond control, then he/she will not have to wait for one full year,” the notice read

    JEE Main 2021 Registration Eligibility


    For appearing in the JEE Main 2021, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have qualified for Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2019, 2020, or will be appearing in 2021 will be eligible for JEE Main 2021.

    The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central or State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi.

    However, students who have qualified for Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2018 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2022 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2021 The registration for the same begins today.

    JEE Main 2021 Begins Today With COVID-19 Precautions

    The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) for admission to top engineering colleges in the country begins today, February 23, with unprecedented preparations, and will continue till February 26.

    The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) for admission to top engineering colleges in the country begins today. Candidates aspiring to pursue BArch, planning programs will appear for JEE Main today, while the ones aspiring to take admission in BE/BTech courses will appear in the test from February 24 to 26. The three-hour examination will be conducted online in 331 cities with several measures in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The exam will be held in two shifts.


    The National Testing Agency
    (NTA) has made arrangements to disinfect seating areas between shifts of candidates, provide three-ply face masks and a sanitizer, check body temperatures with thermal guns, and isolate students with fever in separate rooms.

    NTA will conduct the exam in four sessions in the subsequent months up to May. The paper pattern for the Engineering entrance exam is different this year. Due to the disruption caused to schooling by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and several state boards reduced their syllabuses for Class 12. The JEE Main exam pattern was changed to accommodate students from different school boards but without lowering the standard.

    JEE Main is held for admission to undergraduate programs in engineering and architecture at the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and a number of Central and State engineering colleges. It is also a gateway to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), with the top-ranked candidates from JEE Main allowed to appear in JEE Advanced.

    JEE Main 2021 Admit Cards For February Session To Be Released Soon

    The admit cards of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 for the February session is expected to be released soon. The National Testing Agency (NTA)- conducting the body of the national-level Engineering entrance exam, will release the JEE Main hall tickets on its official website. Once released, the registered candidates will be able to download it from jeemain.nta.nic.in.

    As per the official notification, NTA is scheduled to release the hall ticket for JEE Main 2021 February session in the second week of February.

    JEE Main Admit Card 2021: Steps To Download

    The multiple sessions of JEE Main will benefit the candidates as it will give them multiple opportunities to improve their score. The student’s best of the JEE Main scores will be considered for preparation of the merit list.

    All the candidates who seek admission to undergraduate Engineering programs (BE/BTech) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, institutions/universities funded/recognized by participating state governments need to sit in the JEE Main exam and pass the test. This year, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow will also admit students based on their JEE results.
