The State Assessment Accreditation Center invited applications from higher educational institutions for state-level accreditation. SAAC comes under the Kerala State Higher Education Council. The center is set up on the model of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The National Assessment and Accreditation Council is an organization that assesses and accredits Higher Education Institutions in India. It is an autonomous body funded by the University Grants Commission of the Government of India.
SAAC Parameters
However, the State Assessment Accreditation Center would also consider different parameters for the assessment of Higher Education Institutions. The parameters include scientific temper, secularist view, and practices of the institutions applying for the accreditation. The applications for accreditation from SAAC can be submitted online.
The state government of Kerala earlier announced that the State Assessment Accreditation Center accreditation would be considered for while applying for new courses. All the colleges including government, aided, private affiliated under various universities in Kerala can apply to get accreditation from the State Assessment Accreditation Center.
