Over the years VGSoM has proved itself to be one of the premier B-Schools in India and this year too was no different with yet another 100% placement for its students. This year’s placement season for the students of Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM) at IIT Kharagpur campus, proved to be very fruitful. Their seeds of hard work reaped rich dividends for them. The highest CTC offered to them was of Rs. 20 lakh. A total of 40 companies interviewed the batch of 82 students and were full praise for them. They readily forwarded 100 offers to the deserving students. The distinguished alumni who have been an inspiration and motivation to their alma mater have helped in achieving this feat.
Major companies that graced the placement drive for the batch of 2015-17 were Amazon, British Telecommunication, Google, Deloitte, Spencer’s, Edelweiss, Crisil, Vedanta, PwC, Titan, JP Morgan and Chase, Crisil, HPCL, Wipro, IBM, Accenture Digital and HSBC.

“A total of 40 companies visited VGSoM and more companies expressed their willingness to step in after having known of the quality of talent at VGSoM,” Prof Prabina Rajib, Dean (Acting), VGSoM said.
The average offers of the creamy 25% students was Rs. 16.60 lakh with the average of the top 50%, standing at Rs. 15.31 lakh. Most of the students bagged job opportunities in Operations and Consulting, closely followed by Analytics, Sales Marketing, banking, finance and insurance.
Other opportunities for the students of VGSoM came from the field of management which includes the roles in Leadership Program in Operations, B2B Sales, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Sales and Marketing. In addition to these, students were given an opportunity to render their service in Strategic Analysts, Digital Operations Consultants, Financial Analysts, Associate Traders, Pre-Sales Consultants, Wealth Managers, Program Managers and Category Managers.
