GUNTUR: Vice-chancellor Dr P Nagabhushan released Vignan Scholastic Aptitude Test (V-Sat’23) results for admission into B.Tech/ B.Pharm/B.Sc. Agriculture Science courses of Vignan’s University on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, vice-chancellor said that about 40,000 students from across the country particularly from AP and Telangana appeared the exam. He said that the counseling based on VSAT will commence from Wednesday in the varsity premises at Vadlamudi.
Vice-chancellor said that continuous updating of the syllabus on semester basis at in Vignan’s deemed to be university, ensures that the students are always well versed on industry relevant areas. He said that R-22 curriculum was implemented from the academic year 2022-23, in which every topic of the syllabus is integrated to laboratory and project based learning makes interesting and attractive. This helps the student to gain a complete understanding rather than simply memorizing and remembering the subject, said Dr Nagabhushan.
He said that a 200 hours Campus Recruitment Training (CRT) programme is part of the UG curriculum in addition to the regular teaching. “The training covers the areas of Aptitude, Reasoning and Analytical Skills and Programming Skills. It is aimed at enhancing the on-campus placement chances” said VC. Dean-Admissions Dr. K.V. Krishna Kishore disclosed that Yallampalli Venisri secured 1st rank in VSAT. He said that rank cards can be downloaded from the website “ https://www.vignan.ac.in/vsatresult/.” He said that counseling based on Intermediate marks, JEE and EAPCET rankers will start after the declaration of respective results.
Director (admission), A.GouriSankar Rao said that 75% scholarship will be offered to the top 50 rankers of V SAT, 50% scholarship for 51 to 100 rankers, 25% scholarship for 101 to 400 rankers and 10% scholarship for 401 to 2000 rankers. He explained that 75% scholarship will be offered who got above 95 percentiles in JEE, 50% scholarship for 89 to 94.9 percentile, 25% scholarship for 81 to 88.9 percentile and 10% scholarship for 75 to 80.9 percentile. He said that 75% scholarship will be offered to the top 10000 rankers of AP/TS EAMCET, 50% scholarship for 10001 to 20000 rankers, 25% scholarship for 20001 to 35000 rankers and 10% scholarship for 35001 to 40000 rankers. 25% seats are available in each branch under scholarship quota. These seats will be filled on the basis of merit, availability of scholarship seats in that branch andon first come first served basis.
He also added that students who were not able to attend V-SAT phase-1 also can utilize opportunity in phase-2 scheduled between May-1 to May, 31.
