RAIPUR: As the promotion of several Chhattisgarh State Police Service (SPS) officers to Indian Police Service (IPS) Chhattisgarh cadre is due in the state select list 2020 and 2021, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), New Delhi, has convened a departmental promotion committee meeting on June one.
The UPSC has written to the chief secretary and the principal secretary (home) of Chhattisgarh regarding the meeting and invited the state government nominees/members of the selection committee to be present in the UPSC office in New Delhi at 11.30 am on June 1.
The names of the SPS officers likely to be discussed for the promotion in the meeting are D S Maravi, Manoj Kumar Khilari, Ravi Kumar Kurre, C D Tandonm S R Bhagat, J R Thakur and Prafulla Thakur. There are four posts lying vacant in the Chhattisgarh select list 2020 and two posts lying vacant in the select list 2021.
