Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday said that the reservation notification for GMC postgraduate courses will be issued on Monday. He was interacting with citizens on the ‘Hello Goenkar’ programme and responded to the long-pending demand for reservations in postgraduate courses at GMC, raised by Madhu Naik from Ponda.
“We held a review meeting and the issue will be resolved. Reservations will be given in PG courses at GMC,” Sawant said. “There was confusion between GMC and the social welfare department about who will issue the notification. It will be released on Monday.” He said people will soon be able to book appointments online for GMC’s OPD.
Sawant also fielded queries on a range of other topics. In response to questions on law enforcement matters, he said he will direct Goa police to crack down on illegal gambling including matka from Saturday. He was allaying the concerns of Pritam Harmalkar, who said that matka gambling on Ponda’s streets needed to be curbed.
