NEW DELHI: The Panchkula District Education Officer on Monday announced that all schools in Panchkula will remain closed on July 11 & 12 due to consistent rainfall in the area.
Earlier, the district administration announced the closure of schools in the city due to heavy rainfall and waterlogging in various parts of the city. Over the past few days, Panchkula has experienced relentless downpours.

The decision to extend school closure in the city has been taken in regard to the safety of students, teachers, and staff.
Apart from Panchkula, many other districts in Haryana and Punjab announced school closure on July 10. However, considering the intensity of rain in these states, many more districts are expected to extend school closures in their regions.
