The upcoming academic session for Class 11 is set to kick off on July 29, 2023. To streamline the registration process and ensure efficiency, the Directorate will be employing the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) for admissions. SAMS will handle the admissions process for Class 11 across various streams, including Arts, Science, Commerce, Upashastri, and Vocational courses. This encompassing approach will cover all Higher Secondary Schools (HSSs) in Odisha affiliated with CHSE (O). Moreover, as part of the admission process, 93 Higher Secondary Schools will offer Vocational courses.
As for eligibility, applicants must have successfully cleared the High School Certificate (HSC) Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, or its equivalent boards. The application fee for admission is set at Rs. 200, with a reduced fee of Rs. 100 for candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories.
The Directorate has also provided a comprehensive list of important dates related to the admission process. Candidates must ensure timely compliance with these dates to secure their admission. The last date for submitting the online Common Application Form (CAF) is June 20, 2023, at 11:45 PM. The publication of the First Selection Merit List and the availability of the Intimation Letter for download will occur on June 28, 2023, at 11:45 AM. Selected applicants from the first round can then report to their designated Higher Secondary Schools for admission between June 29 and July 5, 2023, until 06:00 PM.
On July 13, 2023, the Directorate will release the Second Selection Merit List for Class 11 Admissions. Students can access this list and download their Intimation Letter by logging into their student accounts. The deadline for accessing the Merit List and Intimation Letter is 03:00 PM on the same day.
For those selected in the second round, the reporting and admission updation process will take place from July 14 to July 17, 2023. During this period, selected candidates must report to their designated Higher Secondary Schools (HSSs) to confirm their admission and fulfil the necessary documentation requirements. The reporting process will conclude at 06:00 PM on July 17, 2023.
Simultaneously, Higher Secondary Schools will update the admission data of second selection applicants and address any errors in the SAMS eSpace. This data updation and error correction window will be open from July 14 to July 17, 2023, with a deadline of 09:00 PM on the final day.
Candidates who have opted for Slide-up requests and were not selected have until 11:00 AM on July 19, 2023, to unlock their choices for SPOT admission. The submission of Choice Locking for the remaining higher options in SPOT admission will be open from July 19 to July 21, 2023, until 11:45 PM.
The publication of the SPOT Selection and the availability of the Intimation Letter for download in the Student Login will be accessible until 11:00 AM on July 26, 2023.
From 12:00 PM on July 26, 2023, until 06:00 PM on July 27, 2023, the reporting of First Selection applicants and admission updation at the Higher Secondary School (HSS) level will be conducted. Finally, the eagerly anticipated commencement of Class-XI is scheduled for July 29, 2023.
