As the NEET exam will be conducted on Sunday, therefore, candidates must follow the exam day guidelines provided by the NTA to ensure a smooth and hassle-free exam.
One of the essential guidelines is the dress code and the items allowed and not allowed inside the exam centre. The NTA has issued strict instructions regarding the dress code and other articles that candidates are allowed to carry inside the examination hall.
NEET-UG 2023: Dress Code
The dress code for NEET UG 2021 is simple and strict. Candidates must wear light clothes with half sleeves and not having big buttons, brooch/badge, flower, etc., with Salwar/trousers. In the case of footwear, candidates can only wear sandals or slippers. Shoes are not allowed, except for those with medical conditions who need to wear shoes.
NEET-UG: Items not allowed
Candidates are not allowed to carry any stationery items like pencils, pens, or erasers inside the examination hall as the same will be provided by the examination centre. The following items are strictly prohibited inside the exam centre:
- Electronic devices like mobile phones, pagers, calculators, and smartwatches.
- Wallets, purses, handbags, and other such items.
- Eatables like food items and drinks.
- Jewellery items like earrings, rings, bangles, etc.
- Stationery items like pencils, pens, erasers, and rulers.
NEET-UG: Items allowed inside the exam centre
Admit Card and ID proof: Candidates must carry the NEET UG 2021 Admit Card and a valid photo ID proof, such as Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, or Passport.
Face mask and hand sanitiser: Candidates must carry a face mask and a small bottle of hand sanitiser in a transparent plastic bag.
Medical certificate: Candidates with diabetes or any other medical condition can carry a medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner to the examination hall.
Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre at least an hour before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card to avoid any last-minute problems. It’s a must to follow the dress code and guidelines regarding the items allowed and not allowed to ensure a smooth and hassle-free exam experience.
