NDDB chairman receives honorary doctorate from Kamdhenu University


Vadodara: Chairman of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) Meenesh Shah was conferred with honorary degree by Kamdhenu University (KU).
Gujarat governor and KU chancellor Acharya Devvrat conferred the doctorate of science (honoris causa) upon Shah for his contribution to the dairy sector during the university’s 9th annual convocation held in Gandhinagar.
It was for the first time that KU conferred an honorary degree. Shah was conferred the honorary degree during the convocation that was graced by Parshottam Rupala, union fisheries animal husbandry and dairying minister as chief guest, Raghavjibhai Patel, minister of agriculture, animal husbandry, cow breeding, fisheries, rural housing and rural development of Gujarat as guest of honour and KU vice-chancellor Dr NH Kelawala.
Apart from being chairman of NDDB, Shah is member secretary of the Indian National Committee of the International Dairy Federation (INC-IDF) and also a member of the standing committee on dairy policies and economics of IDF. Shah is a dairy technologist from Sheth MC College of Dairy Science and a post graduate in rural management from the Institute of Rural Management, Anand.
