Karnataka KSEAB SSLC Result 2023 OUT: 83.89% pass, girls outshine boys


The pass percentage of the Karnataka SSLC exams 2023 decreased from 85.13 to 83.89% this year. The results were announced on Monday morning.
The difficulty level of the question paper was brought back to 20% from 10% in 2021-22. Karnataka State Education and Examination Board attributed the dip in pass percentage to the increase in the difficulty level. However, the Board inferred that the performance of students in 2023 has improved by 12% when compared to 2019-20 where the pass percentage was 71.80%.
Four students– Bhoomika Pai, New Mecaulay English High School, Bengaluru; Yashas Gowda, Sree BGS school, Chikkaballapura; Anupama Shrishail H, Sri Kumareshwar English Medium High School, Belagavi; Bhimangowda Patil, Oxford English Medium High School, Vijayapura– secured full marks in all subjects.
Girls performed better with 87.87% than boys (89.98%). 87% students from rural side passed the exam as against 82% of their counterparts in urban areas.
Chitradurga performed the best with 96.8%, Mandya 96.74% and Hassan with 96.68%.0 the pass percentage in Bengaluru North was 81% and Bengaluru South was 79%.
