AHMEDABAD: The HSC general stream results declared on Wednesday was 73.27% with the 72.83% Gujarati medium students clearing the examination while the same in English Medium was 79.16%/
The HSC general stream in 2023 declared on Saturday was 13.64% less than the 2022 results.
In 2022 the pass-out percentage was 86.91%.
Of the 4.77 lakh students who appeared for the HSC (general stream) exam, 3,49 lakh students were successful. Interestingly this year 1,42 lakh students appeared for the examination.
According to the education department, while Vanghadara posted the highest 95.85% pass-out percentage, Devgadhbariya had the lowest result of 36.28%. Among the district this year Kutch had the highest pass-out percentage at 84.49% while Dahod had the lowest pass-out percentage at 54.67%.
Girls once again remained ahead of boys among those who attempted the HSC for the first time. The pass rate of girls was 80.39%, while that of boys was 67.03%. This year about 13.36% more girls cleared the examinations.
Interestingly this year there were 1,874 students who scored over 90% marks. The officials stated that even the number of students who scored over 80% but less than 90% was 29,876.
According to the statistics provided, this year 33,402 students failed in one subject, while 33 failed to clear their exams in two subjects.
