The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has announced the academic calendar for the year 2023-24 that begins from June 1. The board will conduct Class 10 and 12 exams from March 11 to March 28, 2024.
A statement from the board states that the supplementary examinations for Class 10-12 will begin from July 10 and end on July 14. The supplementary exams are for students who have failed in one or two subjects in their final examination.
The first exam for Class 9-12 will be conducted during October 3-12, the preliminary exams will be held during January 29-February 7, 2024. The board will conduct a talent search exam for Class 9 students on February 9. The practical exams for Class 12 science stream students will be conducted during February 19- 27, 2024.
The first academic session will begin from June 5 and end on November 8, 2024. Total teaching days will be 124 in the first term. The 21-days Diwali holidays will begin from November 11-29. The second academic session will begin from November 30 and end on May 5, 2024. Total teaching days will be 127 in the second term. The 35-days summer vacation will begin from May 6-June 9, 2024. Total public holidays during 2023-24 will be 19. The 2024-25 academic year will begin from June 10, 2024.
