Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) on Monday announced that the deadline for registration for the supplementary examination of Class 12 science stream students has been extended to June 9. The old deadline expired on Monday.
Class 12 science stream students’ success rate this year was 65.58%, lower by 6.64% as compared to 2022. In 2022, 72.02% students had cleared their examination. This was the lowest result in the last 18 years.
The supplementary examination is for students who have failed in one or two subjects.
Class 12 science stream results showed that the highest number of students have failed in physics followed by chemistry, biology and mathematics.
A close look at the results show that 37,058 students failed in the physics subject, 36,116 students flunked the chemistry exam, 18,347 students failed in the biology subject and only 8,671 students failed the mathematics exam.
