Goa government to celebrate World Veterinary Day


Panaji: With the theme of promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the veterinary profession, the department of animal husbandry and veterinary services in collaboration with the Goa state veterinary council is celebrating World Veterinary Day on April 29 at Hotel Fidalgo, Panaji.
The World Veterinary Day is celebrated globally every year on the last Saturday of April to promote veterinary services as an occupation and augment the welfare of animals.
To commemorate this occasion, the event will be inaugurated at the hands of minister for animal husbandry and veterinary services, Nilkanth Halarnkar and principal secretary, finance, Dr Candavelou, among other dignitaries.
