CUET UG 2023 results expected by July 15

NEW DELHI: The results of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2023 are expected to be declared by July 15, according to the UGC Chief, M Jagadesh Kumar.
Once released, candidates along with their results can also check the answer key on the official website cuet.samarth.ac.in.
The original schedule had anticipated the results around June 20 but was later extended to the first week of July.
The CUET-UG has received over 14 lakh applications this year, marking a significant 41% increase from its debut edition last year. It has become the second-largest entrance exam in the country in terms of the number of applicants, with 12.5 lakh students registering for the exam and 9.9 lahks submitting their applications in its first edition.
The delay in result processing by the National Testing Agency (NTA) is attributed to the complex nature of the process. While the entrance test is computer-based, the backend processing for results announcement is time-consuming. After the conclusion of the answer key challenge, experts review the feedback and finalize the answer keys. This involves examining question paper answer keys from multiple disciplines, which takes several days. NTA then prepares normalized scores for all candidates, which requires time due to the enormous amount of data. The scores are carefully verified to ensure accuracy.
Despite the wait for results, it is essential to understand the meticulousness of the process to maintain fairness and accuracy. Candidates are advised to stay patient and await the official announcement of the CUET-UG 2023 results, which are expected to be released on or before July 15.
