Indore: Hundreds of aspirants on Thursday staged a protest at the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission office over the delay in organising interviews for state engineering services-2021.
The students also submitted a memorandum demanding to hold interviews early in case of SES-2021. They also demanded an increase in posts in the State Engineering Service-2022 examination advertisement.
In case of state engineering service-2021, the commission on October 28 last year declared 3,019 candidates qualified cumulatively for 493 posts, which comprises 446 posts of civil, 36 for electrical and 11 for mechanical engineer post.
Since then, those qualified for examinations are waiting for their interviews to happen. MPPSC OSD R Panchbhai told TOI, “The commission has been organising interviews for different examinations. The interviews for SSE-2021 will be held very soon.”
“The boards to organise the examination are fixed and several examinations including the medical specialists are going on”, added Panchbhai.
This was not the first time when the SSE-2021 candidates held protests and demanded early interviews. The candidates on February 27 this year also held a protest demanding for early interviews.
The commission however has recommended candidates against 570 posts for appointment to different departments of state government after September 29 last year under two list formulas.
The list of completed recruitment include Scientific officer (biology), Anaesthesia specialist, Orthopaedic specialist, Medical Specialist, Gynaecology specialist, State engineering service, boiler inspector grade 1 and boiler inspector grade 2, System Analyst and Programmer, and Assistant Director Exam 2021 (Social Justice and Disabled Welfare).
