Justice B Veerappa, Judge, High Court of Karnataka inaugurated the clinic, emphasising the importance of legal aid clinics for law students and the society
Manipal Law School (MLS), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Bengaluru, launched their Legal Aid Clinic on March 25, 2023. The ceremony took place at the MLS campus at Yelahanka and the clinic was inaugurated by Justice B Veerappa, Judge, High Court of Karnataka as the Chief Guest.
The Legal Aid Clinic aims to provide legal assistance to the underprivileged and marginalised sections of society who are unable to afford legal services. MLS students, under the supervision of faculty members and legal experts, will provide the services to the community.
MLS also organised a Competition Law Awareness Programme in collaboration with the Competition Commission of India. The event was attended by captains of the legal and corporate field and aimed to raise awareness about competition law in India.
