The JNU Teachers’ Association (JNUTA) on Friday protested in front of the HRD Ministry to seek due attention to the ” alternative ” model of examinations in the Varsity.

A higher delegation met with the Joint Secretary G C Hosur and JNUTA Higher Education Secretary Amit Khare to discuss the pros and cons.

“Mockery of academic standards being adopted by the VC (vice-chancellor) trying to manufacture an artificial closing of the semester by convincing teachers to driving tests in” “other” “modes like email and WhatsApp was highlighted, “the JNUTA said.

The delegation also had to stress heavily on the fact that the real obstacle to any dedicated resolution is the VC and his “autocratic style” of governance, in violation of the framework defined by the Act JNU, laws and ordinances, teachers’ presumed body.

The JNU teachers association said ‘he was assured that the Ministry of HRD will be ready to make efforts to find a solution in the coming days.’

“The JNU teachers association agreed to provide a detailed report on all violations of the examination of the MHRD,” he said.

Many students got the documents issue on all topics by email Friday that too with the deadline December 23 to present their papers.

The JNU Students ‘Union condemned the Varsity’ alternative model of movement for examination.

The students have been on strike for over a month and a half on the issue of rising costs from the hostel.
