JEE Main 2023: NTA allows to edit category in application form, objection window closes today


NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has allowed the JEE Main 2023 candidates to edit the category in their JEE Main application form if they wish to. Candidates will be able to do so through the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The decision has been taken by the agency after it received representations from various candidates for the same.
The last date to edit the category in the JEE Main 2023 application form is tomorrow, April 22, 2023, up to 11:50 PM. NTA said that JEE Main candidates can only modify their categories and the documents supporting the same will be verified at the time of counselling or admission.
The agency warned, “Candidates must note that the benefit of reservation will be given to them subject to verification of documents by the concerned Counselling / Admission Authority. If it is discovered at any stage that a candidate has used a false/fake/incorrect document or has furnished false, incorrect, or incomplete information, in order to avail the benefit of reservation, then such a candidate shall be excluded from all further processes. In case such a candidate has already been given admission, the admission shall stand cancelled,” reads the official notice.
How to Edit JEE Main 2023 Application Form Category?

  • Visit the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in
  • On the homepage, click on the link – Correction Window for Category of the Online Application Form of JEE (Main) – 2023.
  • Now, enter your login details and submit.
  • Your JEE Main Application Form 2023 will open up.
  • Edit your category in the form and submit.

JEE Main 2023 Session 2 exams were held on April 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 15, 2023 at various exam centres across the country in two shifts for Paper 1 and Paper 2.
NTA issued the JEE Main answer key 2023 for session 2 on April 19, 2023. Candidates have been given time to challenge the answer key, if not satisfied with any answer, and the last date to raise objections is today, April 21, up to 5 PM.

Earlier in January, the JEE Main 2023 Session 1 was conducted from January 24 and February 1, 2023, and the results for the same were declared on February 6, 2023, for Paper 1 and February 28, 2023, for Paper 2.
