The MoU signed between ISRO and VSSUT Burla will work on setting up up an innovation-cum-incubation centre. The innovation-cum-incubation centre will be set up at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) Burla. The centre will promote space research.
Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) Burla Odisha has become the first university in the country to have signed an MoU with ISRO.
Odisha Information and Public Relations Department tweeted “Achieving a rare privilege of being the first University in the country, VSSUT Burla today inked an MoU with Indian Space Research Organisation for setting up of Space Innovation-cum-Incubation center in presence of @isro Chairman Dr. K Sivan”.
The MoU was being signed on a virtual platform. The event of signing MoU had taken place in the presence of Dr. K Sivan, ISRO Chairman, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Secretary, Skill Development and Technical Education Department, and Atal Chaudhuri, Vice-Chancellor, VSSUT Burla.
As a part of the agreement, ISRO will offer VSSUT Burla technical support and financial assistance of 50 lakh for developing the required infrastructure to promote space research in the country. Under this agreement, an innovation-cum-incubation center will be set up at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) Burla.
